Registered Nurse - Long Term Care

Full Time Evenings (3pm-11:30pm), every other weekend and holidays required.

Job Description

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the Registered Nurse oversees the operation of the nursing units, providing clinical supervision to staff. The role encompasses planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the Nursing Department's activities, ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, standards, and regulations to assure quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise clinical staff and ensure quality resident care.
• Communicate effectively with the Director of Nursing and Nurse Managers regarding unit issues.
• Make administrative decisions in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
• Provide teaching and supervision of staff on respective shifts.
• Address critical issues that arise during off hours.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS RN Licensure.
• Minimum of one (1) year of Long Term Care experience.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• BLS Certification (through AHA or RQI only).
