Neuro ICU Registered Nurse - 3x12 Hour Days

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care for patients with neurological conditions. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Neuro ICU settings and be comfortable floating to ICU, IMC, and Tele units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Administer blood products and manage ventilated patients.
• Provide care for patients with central lines and perform CVA/acute stroke management.
• Utilize external ventricular drains (EVD) and lumbar drains as needed.
• Monitor intracranial pressure (ICP) and implement hypothermia protocols.
• Interpret dysrhythmias and manage related complications.
• Assist in post-craniotomy and post-neurosurgery management.
• Care for patients with spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU experience preferred.
• Active RN license in hand at the time of submittal.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required.
• Preferred experience in community hospitals and trauma level II settings.
• Travel experience is preferred.
