Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to the patient’s needs, goals, and physician directives. This role is crucial in ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate effective community reintegration.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
- Utilize clinical reasoning skills to create appropriate treatment plans and goals.
- Document medical records accurately and timely, following state, federal, and clinic guidelines.
- Ensure care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approval.
- Participate in student programs as needed, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Create a personalized professional development plan and pursue continuing education opportunities.
- Adhere to disciplinary practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
- Understand and participate in organizational performance improvement initiatives.
Schedule
This position follows a 5x8.0 schedule, with 60-minute evaluations and 30-minute follow-up appointments.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Active and applicable physical therapy license for the state where work will be performed.
Assignment Duration
This is a 6-month contract position.
