This position is a 5x8.0 schedule, working 40 hours per week.
Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating all assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans according to patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes the delegation and direction of therapy services and the design of functional treatment programs to facilitate a return to community activities. The Physical Therapist also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self while adhering to the organization’s mission and values.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
- Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
- Document care in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner.
- Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders.
- Provide a positive learning environment for students.
- Create an individualized professional development plan with clinical management.
- Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure.
- Understand and follow organizational performance improvement initiatives.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Active and applicable license for the state where work will be performed.
