Registered Nurse - High Risk Labor & Delivery

Schedule

Night 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Must work every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in high acuity and high-risk environments. The RN will function in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery unit involving a variety of patient demographics, including midwifery clients and adult recovery services supporting substance recovery. The role requires circulating and providing care for newborns, including administering necessary treatments and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for mothers and newborns during labor and delivery.
• Circulate during C-sections and assist with high-risk deliveries.
• Administer newborn care including administering Vitamin K and performing necessary assessments.
• Monitor and manage both maternal and newborn vitals and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams for comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in high-acuity Labor and Delivery environments.
• Current RN license with proof of required certifications including BLS and NRP; ACLS and AWHONN preferred.
• Current supervisory references required.
• Must pass clinical review, including proof of current Nursys.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
