Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

The Pediatric Cardiac ICU (PCICU) Registered Nurse will provide specialized care to patients with congenital heart disease in a Level I Trauma Center. The nurse will work with a team in a 29-bed Beacon Award-winning unit that focuses on critical care for patients of all ages with cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients with cardiac conditions.
• Monitor vital signs and manage complex medical issues including cardiac surgeries.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care planning.
• Educate families about patient conditions and care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU nursing experience.
• SC or Multi State/Compact RN license required.
• Certifications: PALS and BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS preferred.
• Experience with Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD) highly preferred.
