Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Med/Surg Telemetry unit. This is a 14-bed overflow unit accommodating ED boarder patients, requiring flexibility and adaptability based on patient demand. All RNs must demonstrate competency in phlebotomy and IV placement, which are essential skills at our facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to telemetry patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform phlebotomy and IV placements as required.
• Prepare for and manage dysrhythmias with appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with rapid response and code teams as necessary.
• Administer oxygen and manage peripheral line care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a med/surg telemetry setting.
• Current RN license in New York is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Must have experience with EPIC charting.
