Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients within a Med/Surg setting. With a focus on maintaining patient safety and delivering excellent clinical outcomes, the RN will be expected to demonstrate clinical expertise and adhere to evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care and oversee patient assessments.
• Administer medications and monitor patient reactions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement care plans.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to appropriate personnel.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Schedule

This position offers a 12-hour night shift (7 PM to 7 AM) with a schedule of 7 on and 7 off. Weekend and holiday shifts are required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg experience.
• Current Alabama RN license must be on file at the time of submission.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Prior travel experience and charting experience with Omnicell is preferred.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
