Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room is accountable for delivering exceptional patient care by applying the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and established hospital policies. The role necessitates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning for the safe delivery of care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize critical thinking and evidence-based practices to assess and manage patient care.
• Demonstrate leadership in delegating patient care priorities to available staff based on their education and experience.
• Provide supervision and direction to assigned personnel in delivering patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies and participate in continuing education opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient assessments and interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid RN license.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting is required.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is essential.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred and may lead to additional compensation.

Schedule

This position operates on a night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.
