Cardiovascular Operating Room Scrub Tech

Schedule

Day shifts, 4x10-hour schedule from 06:00 to 18:00. Alternating days off with on-call requirements of 1-2 call days per week, requiring a 30-minute response time. Weekend coverage is expected every third or fourth weekend, spanning from Friday 4:30 PM to Monday 6:00 AM, and holidays as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room Scrub Tech with open heart experience. The candidate will participate in clinical activities, ensuring a high standard of patient care in the cardiovascular operating room.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures in the cardiovascular operating room.
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field during surgeries.
• Ensure all necessary instruments and supplies are available for surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to provide optimal patient care.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes appropriately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiovascular operating room setting.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is highly preferred.
• Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination mandates (medical/religious exemptions allowed).
• A valid PA license is required for all candidates.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
