XR/CT Technologist - Weekend Nights

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Job Description

The XR/CT Technologist will perform diagnostic radiographic and CT imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injury. This position requires the ability to work independently in a rural hospital environment, covering both X-Ray and CT modalities while providing high-quality imaging services and ensuring patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality X-Ray and CT imaging using proper positioning, technique, and protocols.
• Cover both XR and CT modalities during shifts.
• Review provider orders for appropriateness and communicate with providers as needed.
• Administer contrast according to site-specific protocols.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and complete documentation accurately in the electronic health record.
• Follow radiation safety practices and use appropriate protective equipment.
• Transport and assist patients safely.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all health and safety policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current ARRT Radiography registry and ARRT CT registry.
• Current AHA BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Experience performing both X-Ray and CT exams.
• Ability to work independently during weekend night shifts.
• Basic computer skills, including experience with electronic health records.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills.
• Three or more years of clinical imaging experience.
• Cerner experience required.
