Occupational Therapist Position

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position for an Occupational Therapist. The role involves providing therapeutic interventions for a variety of patients, including those recovering from surgeries and managing chronic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients' needs and treatment goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to patients in various settings, primarily in Long-Term Care (LTC)/Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Schedule

Shift: 8 hours per day, 5 days a week, with flexible start times between 07:00 AM and 09:00 AM. Some weekend floating may be required but is rare. There are no holiday requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid Occupational Therapy license for South Dakota.
• Mobility Certification (COMS) is required.
• BLS Certification is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred, particularly in Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing settings.
