Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, includes every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in emergency care and demonstrate expertise in high-volume, fast-paced clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Perform patient assessments and triage effectively.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocol.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records in the Cerner system.
• Support and mentor junior staff, fostering a team-oriented environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an ER setting.
• Current RN license.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS required before the start date.
• Experience in a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center preferred.
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department.
