RN Operating Room - Liver Transplant Specialty

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day 4x10-Hour Shift (06:45 AM - 05:15 PM) with liver call. Schedule includes 1 shift per week on-call and 2 weekend shifts per month.

Job Description

A highly skilled RN Operating Room specialist with strong experience in liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures is required. The ideal candidate will perform liver transplant surgeries and other cases as necessary. Proficiency in Misonix/CUSA is mandatory, along with experience in organ transplants, specifically putting organs back in the patient after harvesting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in liver transplant surgeries and other related surgical procedures.
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative care of transplant patients.
• Work collaboratively with surgical teams and educate new staff and students.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in the operating room.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of direct RN experience in liver/transplant nursing.
• Current AHA or American Red Cross ACLS and BLS certifications required at the time of submission.
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start.
• Must be nicotine-free and pass a drug screening.
