Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to expectant mothers and their newborns. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in labor and delivery nursing, with expertise in managing labor, preterm labor, and various procedures associated with obstetric care.

Responsibilities

• Circulate, assist, and manage labor and delivery procedures.
• Attend all deliveries, including high-risk cases.
• Administer blood and blood products, and provide IV therapy.
• Monitor and manage patients in low-risk antepartum and postpartum care.
• Utilize various medical equipment, including epidural and PCA pumps.
• Conduct pre-operative and post-operative care for GYN surgeries.
• Teach and support new mothers in couplet care and infant transition.
• Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:1-3 as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
• Epic electronic health record system experience required.
• Current certifications required: BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate; ACLS preferred.
• Active compact license recognized in Swedish facilities.
• Experience with blood administration, anticoagulation therapy, and high-risk deliveries.
