Registered Nurse (RN) - Contract Position

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

AM Shift: 07:00 – 19:30, 3 × 12 hr shifts, totaling 36 hours/week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) assesses, implements, and evaluates care needed by assigned patients under the direction of the licensed physician. The RN is knowledgeable about principles, theories, and current methods and techniques of nursing practice. Using the nursing process, the RN collaborates with the patient, patient's family member(s)/significant others, professional peers, and other members of the health care team to individualize patient care. The RN also directs nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to the standards of nursing practice, administrative, and departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assess and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Direct nursing support staff in delivering patient care.
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards and departmental policies.
• Evaluate patient care outcomes and make adjustments as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the area of clinical specialty is preferred.
• PA Registered Nurse License is required.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
