Schedule

Shifts are as follows:

• Monday: 6:30 AM - 12:30 PM
• Tuesday/Thursday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Wednesday: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant will work collaboratively with the Physical Therapist to provide quality care to patients. This role includes implementing treatment goals and programs as established by the Physical Therapist, assisting in therapeutic interventions, and ensuring a safe and effective treatment environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist with therapeutic interventions, including posture training, strengthening exercises, balance exercises, and functional skills training.
• Demonstrate the use of various modalities such as whirlpools, hot/cold packs, and ultrasound.
• Monitor patient responses, ensuring safety and effectiveness in all activities.
• Document patient progress and facilitate patient and family education on therapy techniques.
• Maintain professional and ethical relationships with patients and staff members, consulting as needed with other healthcare disciplines.
• Participate in special projects aimed at improving patient care quality and efficiency.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School.
• CAPTE Certified.
• 6 months of Outpatient Clinical Experience.
• CPR Certification.
• Active and applicable State licensure.
