Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant will support the Physical Therapist in providing superior quality care and treatment to patients. Responsibilities include implementing treatment goals and programs, assisting with therapeutic interventions, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapist in executing treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions such as posture training, strengthening exercises, and pain relief techniques.
• Train patients in locomotion using assistive devices.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as necessary.
• Document patient progress and education provided to patients and families.
• Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment.
• Participate in team conferences and special projects aimed at improving patient care.
• Comply with safety and infection control guidelines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• CAPTE Certification.
• Minimum of 6 months of outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR Certification.
• Active license for the state where work will be performed.
