Operating Room Nurse (RN)

Shift: 06:30 AM - 03:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch. End times may vary based on procedures.

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in providing patient care within the operating room environment. As a member of the surgical team, the RN collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other personnel to ensure the highest standards of patient care according to state nurse practice acts, AORN, and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely availability of supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding surgical processes.
• Update physician preference cards for surgical teams.
• Scrub and assist during surgical procedures.
• Supervise personnel delivering direct patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with prior travel experience required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• Must possess a valid RN license.
