Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with rotating weekends. No on-call requirements.

Job Description

The Emergency Room at our facility is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment while ensuring adherence to established protocols and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and triage patients in a timely manner.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist with emergency procedures and trauma care.
• Utilize medical equipment such as Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Operate within established policies and guidelines of the healthcare facility.
• Engage in patient and family education regarding health conditions and treatments.
• Support behavioral health needs through de-escalation techniques and interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Texas RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Experience with trauma and behavioral health patients is a plus.
• Familiarity with MEDITECH EMR is preferred.
