Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse

Job Description

The Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse is accountable for providing comprehensive care to NICU patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. This role demands critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to NICU patients through effective nursing practices.
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills in clinical decision-making.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities according to the education and experience of available staff.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 2 years of experience in NICU nursing.
• Prior travel experience is required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and STABLE certifications are required.
• A valid RN license is required.

Schedule

This position entails working night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.
