Registered Nurse - Critical Care Stepdown

Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 (Every other weekend required)

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our Critical Care Stepdown unit. This role is vital in providing high-quality patient care to adult and geriatric populations recovering from severe medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, including cardiac drips and manage chest tubes.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide patient-centered care.
• Assist with post-operative care for patients recovering from surgeries like CABG.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a critical care or stepdown unit.
• Active RN license and current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications.
• Experience with post-vascular, post-CABG, CVA, respiratory failure, heart failure, and chest pain management preferred.
