Registered Nurse - Critical Care

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Critical Care team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-acuity critical care environment and be proficient in managing complex patient needs. The RN will be responsible for providing high-level patient care and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for patients in the Critical Care Unit and while floating to other areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate care for critically ill patients in the Critical Care Unit.
• Utilize advanced nursing skills for IV starts, blood draws, NG tube placements, and ECG rhythm interpretation.
• Caretake for patients on ventilators, arterial lines, chest tubes, and central venous lines.
• Assist physicians during bedside procedures and manage conscious sedation.
• Effectively communicate with patients and families regarding care plans and progress.
• Float to CVICU, CCSD, and Med-Surg departments as needed based on staffing requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in critical care settings.
• Certified in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing critical care drips and titrations.
• Experience with CRRT, IABP, and advanced monitoring equipment preferred.
