Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

This is a night shift position from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, working 36 hours per week.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. This unit accommodates a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The nurse will be required to handle various patient diagnoses, such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
• Utilize specialty equipment, including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun, as required.
• Float between different areas of the emergency department as necessary.
• Perform triage and assessment for incoming patients.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years experience in an Emergency Department, with pediatric experience preferred.
• Current NY RN License and active verification through NURSYS.
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications (TNCC must be in hand).
• Travel nursing experience is required.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is necessary.
