Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Nights

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position requiring a night shift schedule of 3x12 hours, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with holiday rotation and every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for providing respiratory care services as assigned, during night shifts. This includes critical care support and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications.
• Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as ABG analysis.
• Assist in intubation procedures and maintenance.
• Provide care in critical care areas, including labor and delivery if required.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience required.
• Must hold a valid South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license at the time of start.
• National certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and NBRC (RRT) required prior to starting.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
