Registered Nurse - Moderate Sedation

Schedule

36 or 40 hours per week, days, with 10 or 12-hour shifts. On-call for weekends and nights.

Job Description

Join a dedicated team that provides moderate sedation in a fast-paced procedural area for patients undergoing preventative and interventional stroke care. Responsibilities include intraoperative moderate sedation and circulating when not providing moderate sedation. The RN administers moderate sedation, closely monitors the patient's cardiac and physical status, and collaborates with the physician to ensure safety, comfort, and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Administer moderate sedation and monitor patient’s cardiac and physical status.
• Collaborate with physicians to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Circulate in the procedural area when not providing moderate sedation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN License (NY License ONLY)
• Moderate Sedation Experience Required
• Irregular (IR) Experience Required
• Two (2) years of experience or experience in a level 1 trauma hospital preferred
• Telemetry experience
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• ACLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
