CT Technologist - Night Shift

Schedule

This position has a night shift schedule of Monday to Thursday, from 9:30 PM to 8:00 AM EST. The role requires being on call and available for callbacks on holidays as per unit needs.

Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for providing diagnostic imaging services to patients. The role includes ensuring patient safety, coordinating with physicians, and maintaining accurate patient records. The technologist prepares patients for scans, explains procedures, and positions patients for imaging.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and verify exam prior to initiating scans.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort.
• Administer IVs when necessary for tests.
• Position patients for scans, utilizing safe patient handling techniques.
• Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC and ensure images are sent to PACS correctly.
• Keep the scanning facility clean and safe.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Current New York State licensure as a CT Technologist (must obtain prior to starting).
• Two (2) years of Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Siemens scanner experience preferred (minimum 6 months).
• Epic experience is highly desired (minimum 1 year).
