Operating Room RN - Pediatric Specialty

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day Shift: 5x8-Hour (06:45 AM - 03:15 PM) or 5x8-Hour (06:45 AM - 05:15 PM).

Call requirement: 6-8 call shifts per month.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse specializing in pediatric care. The ideal candidate will have robust scrub and circulate experience, specifically in a pediatric operating room setting, to support surgical procedures for patients ranging from newborns to 17 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient care in the operating room.
• Coordinate and manage the flow of surgical procedures in a pediatric environment.
• Maintain a sterile field and perform scrub duties as required.
• Monitor and assess patients throughout the surgical process.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least 2 years in an Operating Room setting.
• Travel nursing experience is required; first-time travelers will not be accepted.
• Current BLS certification is mandatory; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Active RN license in West Virginia or a compact state license; pending licenses may be accepted for submission.
• Experience in a pediatric setting and women’s specialty care is highly preferred.
• Robotic surgery experience is a plus.
