Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

This is a night shift position from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, consisting of 3x12-hour shifts per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. This role requires critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership abilities to ensure the safe delivery of care to patients in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to Emergency Room patients.
• Utilize critical thinking and scientific methods to anticipate patient needs.
• Delegate patient care responsibilities in accordance with staff education and experience.
• Supervise and direct assigned personnel in delivering patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing.
• Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is required.
• Charge Nurse experience is preferred and will receive additional compensation.
• Candidates must be willing to float as needed.
