Occupational Therapist - Travel Position

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Days, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with one Saturday per month and holidays required.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist will facilitate the development and rehabilitation of physically disabled persons, maximizing their functional status during hospitalization. The role involves evaluating patients, planning and implementing therapy treatments, attending care plan meetings, and participating in discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct OT evaluations and develop age-appropriate treatment programs.
• Implement and modify treatment plans based on patient progress.
• Attend care plan meetings to collaborate on patient care.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Perform administrative duties as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1 year of experience in occupational therapy required.
• BLS certification required.
• New Mexico state licensure required.
• Experience in acute care settings is essential.
