Registered Nurse - LTAC/Telemetry

Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This role demands critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for safe delivery of care. As a Registered Nurse, you will maintain clinical competencies through continuing education, delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of the available staff, and provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education.
• Delegate patient care tasks based on staff qualifications and competencies.
• Supervise and direct personnel in the delivery of patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 to 5 years of experience in an LTAC or Telemetry setting.
• ACLS & BLS certifications (must be attached with the application).
• Experience with ventilators and tracheostomy care.
• 2 years of recent Tele/LTAC experience in a hospital setting.
• Active Indiana or multi-state compact RN license (must be attached to resume).

Schedule

This position requires a night shift from 19:00 to 07:30.
