Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room is responsible for providing exceptional patient care by utilizing the Nursing Process in alignment with state nursing regulations and hospital policies. This role involves applying critical thinking skills and scientific judgment to ensure the safe delivery of care within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Demonstrate leadership skills through effective communication and team collaboration.
• Maintain clinical competencies by pursuing ongoing education and certifications.
• Delegate patient care tasks according to the experience and competencies of available staff.
• Provide direction and supervision to personnel involved in patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) is required.
• Charge Nurse experience is preferred and may include additional compensation.
• Must possess a valid Registered Nurse license.

Schedule

This position requires a day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a commitment to work 3 shifts per week.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
