Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) works with patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics to perform all cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures and deliver various modalities of respiratory care from basic to advanced. The role requires providing the highest level of appropriate patient care for patients in all areas of the hospital, including emergency patients, in-patients, and out-patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures.
• Deliver various modalities of respiratory care.
• Provide care for patients across all age groups.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Unrestricted license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS); may be obtained upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program Advanced Provider (NRP).
• At least 2 years of well-rounded RT experience with a diverse patient population.
• Experience with high-risk deliveries and neonates preferred.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is preferred.
• Experience with EPIC preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
