Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical Unit

6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (0630 - 1500), 40 hours guaranteed per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse on our Level 3 Medical-Surgical Unit cares for a diverse patient population consisting of complex medical conditions and co-morbidities such as infectious diseases, oncology, behavioral health, hospice, and end-of-life care. The 26-bed unit is a fast-paced environment that will challenge both graduate and experienced nurses intellectually. Level 3 is also pioneering a new and exciting Virtual Nursing staffing model, which allows a team approach to patient care, providing the RN with more time at the bedside and less time on documentation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with health care team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized written care plans.
• Perform comprehensive physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual assessments consistent with patient and significant other needs.
• Exhibit leadership by sharing knowledge and serving as a clinical resource and professional role model.
• Demonstrate effective communication through collegial relationships and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Enhance time management skills to assist others and contribute to overall team performance.
• Adhere to the 3-strike attendance policy starting June 1, 2024.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a medical-surgical or similar setting - REQUIRED
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• Current State Licenses: Michigan RN License
