Adult Respiratory Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12-Hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with holiday and weekend requirements.

Job Description

The Adult Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing quality patient care in critical care settings, utilizing advanced respiratory therapy techniques. The position involves monitoring patients, administering therapies, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care to adult patients in critical care environments.
• Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status.
• Administer therapies and perform procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to plan and implement patient care strategies.
• Document patient care activities in the electronic health record (Epic).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Valid NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license must be in hand at the time of start.
