Registered Nurse - Medical Step Down Unit

Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 4 days on, 4 days off.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Medical Step Down Unit. The successful candidate will care for patients with conditions including Sepsis, Heart Failure, Hypertensive Emergency, Respiratory Failure, COPD, Chronic Kidney Disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Substance Abuse, Status Epilepticus, and Encephalopathy. The unit has 16-20 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical Step Down Unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes in status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families on health management and recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Current ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Active RN license in good standing.
