Clinical Respiratory Therapist - NICU and Adult Care

This position follows a Day 3x12-Hour schedule from 06:30 to 19:00.

Job Description

This role requires a highly skilled Clinical Respiratory Therapist with experience in both NICU and Adult care settings. You will be expected to float between campuses and provide care for diverse patient populations, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. This position is tailored for a late May or early June start date, with a minimum separation requirement of three months for previous employees of any Providence-affiliated facility.

Responsibilities

• Cover both NICU and Adult patient care as required.
• Manage ventilators and airway devices; ensure proper medication delivery systems are utilized.
• Perform pulmonary function tests, intubation, extubation, and patient assessments.
• Administer medications, including Albuterol, Nitric Oxide, and other respiratory treatments.
• Conduct ABG interpretation and basic EKG monitoring.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in NICU and Adult Critical Care settings.
• Current WA state licensure required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS are mandatory.
• Experience with Draeger and Servo I ventilators is required.
• Ability to independently intubate neonates is essential.
