Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Nights: 7 PM - 7:30 AM (3x12s)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is accountable for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policies and procedures. This role requires critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipation and planning for the safe delivery of patient care in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in emergency situations.
• Delegate patient care priorities effectively among the nursing staff.
• Provide direction and supervision to personnel delivering patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Experience with Cerner EMR required.
• Charge nurse experience preferred (additional compensation available).
• Must be willing to float to other units as needed.
