Registered Nurse - Telemetry Unit

This position requires a night shift from 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves providing direct patient care within the scope of practice, overseeing patient/family education, and directing the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is fully accountable for the care provided to their assigned patients and must effectively communicate with the physician regarding changes in the patient's clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology. A quick and accurate response to changes in patient condition and treatment response is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Provide direct patient care and guide nursing personnel activities.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding patient conditions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and treatment responses.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Ventilator management experience is preferred.
• COVID vaccination/boosters are preferred.
• EPIC experience is required.
