Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) - Float Pool

This position is located in a Level 1 trauma facility.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) for our float pool. This role will primarily staff the busy Emergency Department, providing care for boarded patients, which may include med/surg, stepdown, and ICU patients. There may be occasions where the RN will be required to float to acute care units as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment.
• Manage and oversee patient care for boarded patients, including those potentially requiring stepdown or ICU levels of care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to acute care units as needed, adapting to various patient care requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar sized Level 1 trauma facility.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required.
• Proof of a resume with no gaps in employment history.
• Completion of an ED skills checklist and submission of ED-related references.
