Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN)

Day shift: 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)

Job Description

The Endoscopy RN is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care in the endoscopy unit, including pre-operative assessments, intra-operative circulating duties, and post-operative recovery from anesthesia. The role emphasizes patient safety and effective collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operative assessments to ensure patient readiness for procedures.
• Circulate during endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Monitor and manage patients in post-operative recovery.
• Utilize EPIC for documentation and patient care management.
• Assist in special procedures including ERCP, EBUS, and EUS.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Endoscopy RN.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
