Neuro Medicine ICU - Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12.0 shift rotation including days, evenings, nights, holidays, on-call, and charge per unit needs.

Job Description

The Neuro Medicine ICU is a specialized Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit focused on the care of critically ill neuro patients. The patient diagnoses include traumatic brain injury, aneurysm, status epilepticus, stroke, and other critical neurologic pathologies. This unit features a brand new state-of-the-art, 12 bed ICU with a high degree of specialized nursing and medical care.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for critically ill neuro patients.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, administer medications, and perform interventions as necessary.
• Collaborate with the medical team to deliver high-quality care.
• Utilize telemetry effectively in patient monitoring.
• Maintain current knowledge of critical care best practices and advancements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• RN License (NY License ONLY)
• Two (2) years of acute care ICU RN experience
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
• Telemetry experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
