Registered Nurse - Acute GI Med/Surg

Job Description

The Gastrointestinal (GI)/COVID Medical/Surgical Unit is a thirty-four-bed unit capable of providing acute care to adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations. The unit consists of all acute care private rooms equipped with telemetry capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Acute GI Med/Surg unit.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards within the unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a similar specialty.
• Current AHA BLS certification is required.
• AHA ACLS certification is preferred.
