Registered Nurse - Cardiac Operating Room

12-hour shift - 7 AM to 7 PM

Job Description

The Cardiac Operating Room (OR) specializes in the care of a diverse range of patients undergoing various cardiac procedures including CABGs, TAVIs, and advanced heart failure interventions such as VADs, ECMO, artificial hearts, and heart transplants. The multidisciplinary OR team is dedicated to providing top-quality care for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Function independently as an RN circulator for complex adult cardiac procedures, including CABGs, structural heart procedures (e.g., Bentall), minimally invasive techniques (e.g., Mini Aortic Valve Replacement), and advanced heart failure interventions (e.g., Impella).
• Assist with heart transplant procedures; prior experience in heart transplantation is preferred.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN License in New York (NY License ONLY)
• Minimum of two (2) years of operating room experience, preferably in a level 1 trauma center.
• Certification in BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Certification in ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Ability to scrub and circulate in the operating room setting.
