Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Progressive Care
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) with a weekend rotation and holidays as needed.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Cardiac Progressive Care to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for managing patients with complex cardiac and respiratory issues, while ensuring compliance with care standards and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive care for cardiac patients with conditions such as Congestive Heart Failure, Acute Coronary Syndrome, and arrhythmias.
- Perform pre and post-cardiac catheterization care and monitoring.
- Administer cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration.
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, including telemetry monitoring.
- Conduct procedural sedation and assist with procedures such as chest tube management and tracheostomy care.
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams for holistic patient management.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a cardiac progressive care unit.
- Current RN license in the applicable state.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIHSS preferred.
- Must be comfortable working with 1:5 patient ratios, including administering drips and managing BIPAP.
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
- Experience with EPIC electronic charting system is required.
