Schedule

Rotating shifts between Day (3x12-Hour: 07:00 - 19:30) and Night (3x12-Hour: 19:00 - 07:30). Travelers must be flexible to accommodate operational needs of the hospital.

Job Description

The Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide care for patients in a hospital setting, with the potential to float to various units including J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in telemetry nursing and patient management.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical telemetry unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, interpreting ECGs and telemetry readings.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning.
• Practice in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Permanent Ohio RN license or Compact license in hand at the time of submission.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Previous charge nurse experience is preferred.
