Med/Surg Tele RN

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day and Night rotating shifts: 3x12-hour shifts, 07:00 - 19:30 for days and 19:00 - 07:30 for nights.

Job Description

The Med/Surg Tele RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a medical/surgical telemetry unit. The RN may float to designated units as needed to support patient care needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
• Monitor and manage patient vital signs and ECG telemetry.
• Administer medications and assist in patient management plans.
• Document patient care activities in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in required educational and training programs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Current and active Ohio RN license or compact state license.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Must have permanent experience in the specialty before travel assignments.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
