Schedule

Day Shift: 5x8 Hours (Monday-Friday) 07:30 - 16:00. Shifts may vary, and you will work until the last patient is seen.

Job Description

The Outpatient Infusion/Oncology Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care to oncology patients requiring chemotherapy/immunotherapy, hematology patients, and administering non-oncology infusions in an outpatient setting. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments safely and effectively.
• Monitor patients for any side effects or complications associated with treatments.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and side effects.
• Manage and care for patients with central lines and ports.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Document patient care and treatments accurately in the electronic medical record (Epic).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license and Chemo Certification (ONS/ONCC) are required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred.
• Experience in an infusion center or outpatient oncology preferred.
• Experience in administering IM and subcutaneous injections, as well as therapeutic phlebotomy.
