5x8 Days (Monday-Friday) 0730-1600. Start times typically between 0715-0745. Shifts may vary based on patient volume.

Job Description

The Outpatient Infusion/Oncology RN will be responsible for administering chemotherapy/immunotherapy and managing patients in an infusion center setting. This role involves providing care for oncology, hematology, and non-oncology patients requiring various infusions, including rheumatology and GI-related treatments.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology and hematology patients.
• Monitor patients for side effects and complications related to therapy.
• Educate patients and families about treatment protocols and care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimized patient outcomes.
• Handle intravenous hydration and manage infusion pumps.
• Perform therapeutic phlebotomy and manage central lines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• Chmo certification (ONS/ONCC) required.
• BLS certification.
• OCN preferred.
• Experience in an infusion center or outpatient oncology setting; inpatient oncology experience may be considered.
• Experience with IM subcutaneous injections and therapeutic phlebotomy.
