Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the ICU Stepdown unit provides care for critically ill patients who require close monitoring and intervention. This position involves managing patients with varying diagnoses and complexities, requiring a strong background in critical care nursing.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care including the use of advanced monitoring techniques and stabilization protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols and physician orders.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and titrate vasoactive drips as necessary.
• Utilize telemetry for cardiac monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Participate in Rapid Response Team interventions.
• Provide care for patients requiring blood product administration and line management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• ACLS, BCLS, NIH certifications required.
• Proficient in arterial line management and the administration of vasoactive drips.
• Experience with telemetry and managing dysrhythmias.
